How do I resize, move and edit a product to fit my avatar?
Right-click the worn item, choose Edit, then adjust Position, Rotation and Size with the gizmo or the numbers. Includes the camera and edit shortcuts you will use most.
Before you start
Many products are made for an average body, so you may need to fit them to your own shape. Wear the item first, and make sure it is not rigged (see the Rigged FAQ). Rigged items follow your shape and cannot be resized with the edit tools.
If the size fields are greyed out, the item is no-modify and cannot be edited.
Open the editor
- Right-click the worn item (or the item on the ground) and choose Edit.
- Or press Ctrl+3 to switch to Edit mode, then click the item.
In the editor window, open the Object tab. Use More info if you only see a few tabs.
Move, rotate and resize
Pick the mode at the top of the window, or use the numbers on the Object tab.
- Move: drag the coloured arrows (red X, green Y, blue Z). On an attachment the numbers are relative to the attachment point.
- Rotate: choose Rotate and drag the rings, or hold Ctrl while using the move arrows.
- Stretch (resize): choose Stretch and drag the coloured boxes, or hold Ctrl+Shift while using the move arrows.
- Exact values: type into the Position, Rotation and Size fields for fine control.
Tick Stretch Both Sides to grow from the centre. Firestorm has no Uniform scale checkbox. To keep proportions, hold Shift while dragging a stretch box, or multiply X, Y and Z in Size by the same factor.
Multi-part products
If a product is made of several linked parts, tick Edit linked and click a single part to adjust only that part. To move or scale the whole product, untick Edit linked (or select the root) so everything changes together.

Tips
- Write down the original Position, Rotation and Size before you change anything, so you can go back.
- Zoom in with Alt + click (camera controls) and look from the front and the side. Clipping (parts poking through your body) is often only a few centimetres off.
- Make small changes and check from more than one angle.
- Keep the original box unopened as a backup in case you want to start over.
- Do not use Reset Scripts or take apart the product while editing, since that can break it.
