How do I control the camera to look at an item from every angle?
In Firestorm, hold Alt and click an object to focus on it, move the mouse to orbit, and press E or C to move the view up or down.
Focus on an object
Hold Alt and click the object. The cursor turns into a magnifying glass and the camera focuses on it.
Look around it
Keep holding Alt:
- Move the mouse left or right to orbit the camera around the object.
- Press E or C to move the view up or down.
This lets you check an item from any angle, which is especially useful when fitting a product to your avatar and looking for parts that clip through your body. See How do I resize, move and edit a product to fit my avatar?.
It also works well for browsing shops and for looking at things far away.
Go back to your avatar
Press Esc, or release Alt and press an arrow key. The camera returns to your avatar.
Walk with the keyboard (WASD)
Firestorm does not turn on WASD walking by default. To enable it, go to Preferences → Move & View → Movement tab and tick the option to move your avatar with the letter keys (WASD). After that, letter keys walk instead of typing into chat.
